Sri Lanka leads efforts for ROCKS Summit

Following the success of BRICS summit between Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, Sri Lanka has stepped up the efforts for ROCKS summit.

Not to be left behind by its northern neighbors India and China who both are active participants of BRICS, Sri Lanka has decided to it’s in its best interest to act.

Sources in Sri Lankan government have told your newspaper that Government of Sri Lanka feel by strengthening BRICS, India and China are ensuring they have dominating position in the region.

He continued, “Hum eat (BRICS) ka jawab pathar (ROCKS) se denge”. Sri Lanka claims Romania, Oman, Chile and Kenya are facing similar conditions in their respective areas due to Russia, Brazil and South Africa’s involvement in BRICS. Invites have been sent to heads of state of Romania, Oman, Chile and Kenya. The summit is expected to be held later this year.

Sri Lanka hopes this ROCKS initiative doesn’t affect its relations with India. Spokesman also stated that Sri Lanka is committed to SAARC and ROCKS is not to challenge India’s position as the leader within South Asia.
