Hollywood, Los Angeles: The Oscar Awards are set to introduce the DRS system with the help of ICC, to avoid blunders in announcing the awards.
After the commotion of Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announcing La La Land as the winner instead of Moonlight, several greats of the Cinema fraternity have come to the open opposing how they should have won an Oscar but the mistake was never discovered.
From 2018 onward, every nominee will have 1 review to appeal. Their movie will be shown on the giant screen in slow motion, and then the decision will be reviewed.
Meanwhile ICC is said to have send Billy Bowden, Kumara Dharasena and Steve Bucknor to Hollywood. According to the ICC officials, their experience with shocking and erroneous decisions have made them used to the DRS, and they will be helping with the setting up of the Decision review system. Buckoner is likely to replace Morgan Freeman as his look-alike, and will be hosting the next award ceremony.
Several Indians have reacted in various ways to the announcement, like Indians do in things that they are hardly concerned about.
Pakistani cricketer Afridi has claimed that La La Land was the winner but was denied Oscar because Pakistanis thought that it talked about him (Lala) and his land. Sehwag, however, has claimed that Afridi owns no Land and thus the movie had a propaganda.
However, Shiv Sena and ABVP has banned the filming of La La Land in India as it talks about India which is a land of ‘Lala Companies.’ They thanked Donald Trump for his step, who didn’t care two hoots about their opinions.
The JNU professors sat on a dharna protesting the DRS, and said that the Announcers, the Umpires and the Terror Groups all had a right to their opinion. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway had only said what they thought was the Best Movie, and they had a right to do so. DRS is against democracy and they would protest it.
Movie makers have frantically been calling MS Dhoni after the announcement of DRS. However, Goenka of the Pune team confirmed that Dhoni had missed the calls.
