Toronto, Canada (20th July): An Indian origin bride called off her wedding when her native Canadian groom tried to sing Yo Yo Honey Singh’s cult song “Love Dose” at their wedding ceremony.
The native Canadian groom, Chriswalla Martin (31), got inspired from recently viral video on Youtube where another native Canadian groom had sung the full-fledged Hindi song “Tum Hi Ho” for his bride at their wedding ceremony. The video went viral within few days of being posted and has got more than 4 million views so far.
Chriswalla immediately started looking for a popular Hindi song for his soon to be wife. He listened to many songs and created a private playlist. The bride’s Indian cousins had helped him in his endeavor. Chriswalla told faking news that he was looking for a song, which is profound in its meaning and can also perform on his guitar. He wanted to sing one of the Pritam’s songs, Pritam, the legendary musician in India. He felt that Pritam’s every song sounds familiar yet new. But then he played ‘Desi Kalakar’ and everything had changed.
‘Desi Kalakar’ is a cult album, composed, written and calculated by Yo Yo Honey Singh. The album revolutionized music in India in every possible way. The song “Love Dose” has been awarded the ‘Song of the decade’ despite the fact that it was released in 2014. Chriswalla found it immensely difficult to sing this song and bring out the essence, pain, despair as brought by Honey Singh.
When finally Chriswalla performed the song in front of bride’s Indian family, they were shocked to see such atrocity. When the bride Swifty Taylorwalla (28) watched her groom’s performance, she was offended and disgusted; she said this is an insult to great Indian singer Yo Yo Honey Singh. She told faking news that she had never expected anything like this. The rap was horrible, music was out of sync and there was no guitar in original song. How could you sing this kind of song without proper recording studio?
Bride’s father is the die hard fan of Eminem, and he is still in state of shock. He listens to ‘Lose yourself’ just to forget whatever that happened. ‘That was not even a Hindi song’ he said it with teary eyes as he is worried about his daughter’s future.
