After WhatsApp Facebook now buys AAP funded Dharna app for 20 billion likes

21, Feb 2014 By Nilesh Kumar

In an interesting development, Facebook has decided to acquire Whr2Sit, the online Dharna App which was rated by Faking News as Best Timepass App; for 20 billion FB likes.

Mr. Bhocho, Developer and CEO of Whr2Sit and a known aide of Mr. Kejriwal is the one to seal the deal with Mark Zukerberg at Menlo Park, CA. Whr2Sit, an app that allows you to take part in a Dharna right from your bedroom or office cubicle with just a click, has been downloaded 5 million times within 72 hours of its release and is also the official dharna app of AAP.

Valuable asset

Mark Zukerberg stated in the FB release:

I’m excited to announce that we’ve agreed to acquire Whr2Sit and there entire team will now protest through Facebook.

Our mission is to make the world more non-productive yet busy. We do this by building services that help people kill time with any group of people they want. Whr2sit will help us do this by continuing to develop a service that people can use to kill time.

Whr2Sit is a simple, fast and reliable Dharna App that is used by over 5 million people on every major mobile platform. More than 1 million people are signing up for it every day and it is on its way to become valuable. So I thought to buy it now when they are still happy with FB likes rather than hard cash I might have to pay later. Whr2sit will continue to operate independently within Facebook. The product roadmap will remain unchanged and the team is going to stay at MIT. Over the next few years, we’re going to work hard to help Whr2Sit grow and protest around the globe.

Whr2Sit had every option in the world, so I’m thrilled that they chose to work with us. I’m looking forward to what Facebook and Whr2Sit can do together.”

Through this deal Facebook has acquired the subscription base of Whr2Sit and can claim all the goals achieved using it as its own and thus will help them fulfill its corporate responsibility.

While Whr2Sit will get a combined 5 billion instant likes on their existing FB status updates and 15 billion likes distributed over the updates they make for the next whole year. Since AAP has 49% stake in Whr2Sit, it is set to give them a huge boost during the upcoming LS polls.

Mr. Kapil Sibbal though has called this deal unethical in the press relese which says “How can a party so close to election do like this? Now they will just update ‘#YoKejriwalSoHonest make him PM’ and will get 1 billion likes and then they will form the government. This is complete Anarchy. I am going to ban all the ISPs from uploading updates from AAP’s or Whr2Sit’s profile unless it is cleared from I&B ministry.”

AAP in reply has threatened to share RaGa interview with ArGo and get 5 billion likes on the comment “What an Idiot” if Mr Sibbal doesn’t retract the statement.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bhocho has updated MIT alumni page with “We Want Bhocho as Apple’s CEO” and has got 3 billion likes. Tim Cook couldn’t be reached for comments. Watch out this space for more updates on this issue.
