13th August 2022 Sydney: In an unexpected turn of events, Sourav Ganguly, the Indian legend was appointed as the head coach of Australian cricket team ahead of India’s upcoming tour to Australia. At the press conference, the Australian Cricket Board Chairman, Wally Edwards said ,’The BCCI agreed for India’s tour to Australia for the next season only when Ganguly got the job, and since practically all the revenues of world cricket come from India we had no other option.’

“I will give them the best lessons that Aussies deserve.”: Saurav Ganguly

However the legendary Australian batsman Greg Chappell saw more into the matter other than the pressure from the BCCI. He termed it as well thought out plan of the BCCI and Ganguly who have teamed up to defeat Australia by using skills barring the cricketing ones, after India successfully managed to reach the score line of 0-25 (to Aus.), in the last 5 test series.

He was quoted saying, “Ganguly has teamed up with his mate Dalmiya to do what I did to Indian Cricket” and that he was terrified of the fact that now that Ganguly would be in charge, the Australian batsmen might start to sight reasons for not batting against anything that is bowled at above 80 miles per hour.

The ICC, a global division of the BCCI which earlier today hosted an event to announce that the 2026, 50 over world cup would be a 4 team affair also shared its opinion on the matter and said, “The BCCI plays hard and fair and the events that have transpired are in true spirit of the game.”

Ravi Shastri who renewed his contract to promote Sachin Tendulkar for the next ten years, took the opportunity with both hands and said, “Although Dada is a good option but Tendulkar would have been a better choice as he is the master even when it comes to coaching cricket.” Nasser Hussain the former English captain pointed out that he was not jealous of Sourav’s achievement or the IPL for that matter.

The mood in Kolkata however remained joyous and people turned out in large numbers waving their t-shirts in the stands at the Eden gardens. Shahrukh Khan who is the co-owner of what seems to be a t-20 team in every twenty-20 league around the world after he brought a stake in Canadian Punjabis League, said that Indo-Aus. combination would produce results no-different to what it had produced when Ganguly and Buchannan came together for KKR and that the fate of the Australian Cricket would be similar to that of his movie Paheli at the box-office.

Meanwhile, Poonam Pandey posted another video in a skimpy outfit celebrating Dada’s appointment while KRK, the not so celebrated, celebrity remained critical and said that instead of Dada he would have been the ideal candidate for the job. Ganguly remained unavailable for a comment.
