Sources report that the dismal performance by the Indian team against Australia has brought back smiles on faces of many politicians in india. After months of wall to wall controversies and media scrutiny, the political class seem to have gotten a moment of rest as the criticism of Indian team’s last outing against Australia takes centerstage.

After the last match against England, the Indian team was expected to win against Australia in the crucial super 8 encounter. But, to the annoyance of many, the Australians won the fixture easily losing only one wicket in chasing the 140 that the Indian side had managed to put up.

M S Dhoni, expressed regret for the result but labelled it a necessary evil saying how he was sympathetic to the politician’s plight and felt they deserved a break. Prominent national leaders denied to comment on the issue, but inside sources suggest that they are now hoping for an early exit from the world cup for team India thus ensuring almost a week’s time of relief.
