While entire globe is enjoying the most celebrated game of Football in the ongoing World Cup the event is turning out to be a curse for some Indian sports reporters who eat and breathe Cricket year around.  In a sad incident in the capitol a well known TV News sports correspondent died of shame after being caught red handed buying Football facts from a young aficionado.

The news channel announced the news on Twitter calling the unexpected death a huge national loss and personal tragedy. The channel also plans to make a 1 hour documentary dedicated to their beloved star correspondent who got them many exclusive interviews and BCCI insides in his 12 years long carrier.

After the shocking incident the organization is in need for a good resource which could fill the shoes of their former “India’s Best” correspondent.  The news channel also posted a vacancy for a “cool looking guy who can talk sports and have good contacts in Indian Cricket Team and BCCI”. To lure great talent the news channel is also offering the new appointee a free trip to Bangladesh to cover the ongoing India-Bangladesh one day cricket series.

On the other hand the Football enthusiasts in India took this opportunity to expose the dearth of Football talent in Indian main stream media.

“This is the reason why India has failed to find a place in the most popular game on the earth, Over 1 Billion of us & few can talk football” wrote a Twitter Handle named @Goooo!!! Germany.

Some national sports correspondents came out on twitter to pay tribute to their good friend who never shared exclusive BCCI and NCA insides with them.

The Indian Sports Journalist Association released a press note that read, “He spent his half life on the benches of BCCI to get a bomb story; we will never forget his contribution to the Indian Sports Journalism”.
