India does yet another act of charity, lets Sri Lanka win World Cup

Despite the departure of the BCCI patriarch, the Indian team has continued to show its benevolence in donating wins to poorer countries. Having steam rolled into the Finals of the World T20 tournament, India were all set to continue their domination in the sub-continent. However, looking at the sorry state of Sri Lankan Cricket who keep making it to the Finals of every World event, and yet have the IPL as their only source of income, India decided to magnanimously give away the match.

An inside source said, “Until the sixteenth over, India were doing very well, due to the selfish efforts of Virat Kohli who wants to win every match. Then Star player, Yuvi was the one who decided, “No. We will not be selfish. Have we not let New Zealand win all the matches against us in our charity tour? Why should Sri Lanka keep losing all the Finals?” and thus came the most defining innings of the tournament: 11 runs of 21 balls.

With this loss, India also shattered the myth that they could win only in the sub-continent. “No, we will win only in India. In front of our home crowd…” said another team member who did not wish his name to be disclosed.
