Mumbai: Everybody suddenly seemed panicked during the lunch break on day 1 of Ind WI test match, at Wankhede. For those of you bewildered, it was not a case of supreme forces like rain or Rajnikant interrupting Sachin’s 200th test match. The news was that Harsha Bhogle had gone into a coma while commentating.
”This one time Sachin went to eat an ice cream and I was there the whole time. He was enjoying his ice cream just like he enjoys his cricket and that, for me, is the mark of a true legend,” Harsha said before going into coma. ”He was recalling his ice cream story for the 24895th time, so I was not paying much attention to it untill he suddenly went into coma,” said Ashish who was following the match on TV.
”He had been muttering ”Sachin, Sachin” in his sleep for the past two weeks but I never saw this coming and when I enquired BCCI about his health, they told me to tweet to @BCCI with a #ThankYouSachin to get my personalised digital autograph,” said his wife, bewildered.
When our reporter asked Sunil Gavaskar his views on Harsha’s coma, he said, ”Sachin is a very smart cricketer. He always takes a single after hitting a six and gets to the non striker end,” which left our reporter dazed and confused.
And when our reporter approached Siddhu, he started talking without even listening to the question and said, ”O guru, Sachin ko pehli baar dekh ke he mein samajh gaya tha ki ye khiladi mujhe team se bahar ka raasta dikhaega aur meri jagah opening karega.”
Finally, Ravi Shastri made an announcement and said, ”The news from the center is that Harsha has won the battle and is out of the coma. The atmosphere in the hospital was electric, it went down to the wire but Harsha did just what the doctor ordered and in the end cricket..err Harsha is the winner.”
Harsha Bhogle came out to greet the reporters, gave a smile and said, ”This one time Sachin went to eat an ice cream and I was there the whole time. He was enjoying his ice cream just like he enjoys his cricket and that, for me, is the mark of a true legend.”
Somewhere, a guy smashed his tv into pieces with a hammer.
