In yet another match against Bangladesh, opening batsman Rohit Sharma has proved his mettle by scoring a whopping 137 off 126 balls. Indian fans were happy as well as shocked after witnessing the unexpected knock. On the other hand, Bangladeshi bowlers said that they had prepared for the regularly performing batsman and even got them out soon but Rohit managed to bat as they had not planned any strategy against him.
His mother, almost nostalgic, said that it all started in 2007 when India was being criticised for its loss against Bangladesh in a world cup match. She found him sobbing in his room. That day, he decided that India won’t lose a match against Bangladesh ever again. Also, Dhawan said that he and Kohli had consciously got out early as it was a special occasion to see Rohit perform and did not want to steal his glory away; not only that, he even managed to rope Rahane in his plan.
Allegedly, while Kohli and Dhawan were being given practice for Mohammad Irrfan’s bowling by using tables; Rohit was practicing for Rubel’s bowling. His supporters even went on to claim that many more such knocks are coming due to the rise of other similar teams like Afghanistan, Ireland & UAE. A fan was heard saying that he was not scoring in the WC2015 as the mathches were not being played on the Indian soil nor were against Bangladesh. Reportedly , he just couldn’t stop the shots coming from his bat against Bangladesh.
Also, supporters questioned as to why wasn’t Stuart Binny included in the playing XI in spite of his spectacular record (6wickets for 4 runs) against Bangladesh. Meanwhile Rohit’s coach is hopeful that Nepal would soon launch its cricket team and further went on to claim that Rohit would go on to score a triple century against them. Also, Azam Khan suggested that BCCI should encourage such team specialist players and build an infrastructure to train them for their particular teams.
