Jaipur. A man in Jaipur is reportedly planning to sell one of his kidneys and a portion of his liver. Yes it is a brilliant gesture and no, he is not dying.

Meet Mr. Mayunk Chaupatvedi, a local pan shop ‘entrepreneur’ (his words, not mine) in Jaipur has created sensation locally for positing an ad on OLX which reads “Kidney and Liver for sale: Second hand basis.” In his own words, he has “personal reasons” for this decision. Upon further investigation (we asked the neighbouring shop keeper), Mr. Chaupatvedi wanted to purchase iPhone 7 and also attend the Coldplay concert to be held at Mumbai on November 19th.

Man shocked to learn that he could buy only ONE thing as the organs values have decreased drastically due to over-supply

We interviewed other reliable sources (his wife and Sharmaji from the neighbourhood) and found that Mr. Chaupatvedi wants to buy an iPhone 7 because he wants to own a “smart-pphone” because his Nokia 1100 has a very small screen. (He has “If it is naat a ipphone, it is naat a pphone” written all over his room)

He was financing this plan when another development came up by Coldplay announcing their Mumbai concert plan. After seeing the uproar caused by Coldplay’s Indian tour on “Pphase-buk”, he wants to attend the concert.

“It is very haat in Jaipur, so I enjoy songs of Coldplay. Their tabla sound is very guud. And their ‘Gore wale bhaisaab’ plays the sitar very well. I enjoy Coldplay saangs very much. I chill out very much.” says a proud Mayunk Chaupatvedi.

So far, there have been some 34 interested buyers and Mr. Chaupatvedi is very busy attending calls and interacting with prospective buyers. “I need to phinance my travel and achieve my dream. This might still be not enough for the concert. I am thinking which organ to sell next”, says a dejected Mr. Chaupatvedi.

Is this worth it, Mr. Chaupatvedi?

“Maay liife, maay rules” says a very determined Mr. Chaupatvedi.

However, latest reports suggest that OLX has removed the ad because the website doesn’t allow illegal activities on its platform. A dejected Chaupatvedi is now listening to Arijit Singh songs on his old phone to deal with this setback.
