KANPUR: Gujarat poll is quite different from Uttar Pradesh. There is the probability of difficulty in the way of winning the battle of ballots. If the development works have made its move in the state, why so many chief ministers are hitting the roads in that election stirred province.

The Congress party and the Bhartiya Janata Party are locking horns in the assembly elections this year. The saffron party is determined to fight the electoral battle after the party’s tallest leader Narendra Modi. Being the home state of the prime minister this election holds vital significance for him too. However, the BJP spokesperson GVL Narshimha Rao remains quite vociferous in accepting that the party fights every election with a kind of challenge.

While the Congress party spokesperson has her own particular views in regard to the election campaigning in Gujarat. She was determined to make it clear if the BJP had done all-round developments in the state, it must not be frightened with. There was no need to send a bunch of other states’ chief ministers for the party campaigning which as BJP spokesperson said was a part of the party’s campaigning strategy.

She also said that it was the Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, who should apprise the people of the different development works. What was the need of inviting other states’ CMs into that state? Though Rupani maintained during his electioneering that Hardik-Rahul combination would not cause any harm to the party, theirs was simply an agreement. The Congress party was only deceiving the people on reservation issue.

In the meantime, Rekha Chowdhary, spokesperson of the Congress party, Gujarat unit has resigned due to the rejection of her ticket from the Bechraji constituency in Mehsana. It has been learnt that the ticket was being diverted to a candidate of the Patel community. The party has provided to a total of four women in the first round of the Gujarat polls while the BJP has fielded eight female candidates.

In the intervening time, Anurag Bhadoria, the Samajwadi Party spokesperson said that the campaigning by the UP chief minister will not prove to be that much effective. Meanwhile, the senior analyst Abhay Dubey cleared that the gap between the two prominent parties had been contracted comparatively. The Congress will fight effectively in Saurashtra region. If the BJP secures 115 seats it would be considered not a very prestigious victory. The three young leaders’ political calibre and popularity will also be at stake in this edition of the Gujarat poll.
