Mumbai: Ex-007 and now brand ambassador of Pan Masala, Pierce Brosnan has come down heavily on the newly elected Uttar Pradesh CM.
Soon after becoming the CM of UP, Yogi Adityanath banned the usage of Pan Masala in government offices. While this has raised outrage across the liberal thinking intellectuals who question over the draconian measure of the State in oppressing the pan chewing rights of sarkaari babus, the real strong condemnation has come from across the border. No, not mentioning our liberals who have their heart and soul on Pakistan, but it is an Hollywood actor from USA who has some strong words for the newly elected CM.
Pierce Brosnan who had been in the city for shoot of few more Pan Bahar ads was taken back in shock when he heard of the news about ban of pan. Speaking to Faking news, the ‘Die another day’ star said, “This is nothing but an attack on common men. Let me ask the government on why they try to decide what we have to chew or not. I had been a spy on payrolls of the Queen and fought several villains across the world. Now, it seems I have to fight the UP government for this pan ban.”
Opening his Pan Bahar bottle, he took few leaves and started chewing. “UP is surely going to taste its downfall henceforth. If people do not chew pan, how can they taste success? Do the UP CM not know that I won a throne without any war, just by chewing pan? I feel outraged and enraged. If this continues, then I would have to leave India soon.”
A leading user of Pan masala in UP RTO office said, “Without pan, how can our people get women and money and power? What is the use of deploying anti-Romeo squad and also banning pan? We will forever lose our chance to get ladies. UP’s population will nosedive with this move. Let me ask Modi ‘where is achche din?'”
A pan chewing pawn broker was crying on the roads of Lucknow. He said, “With Demonetization, Modi broke my pawn. So, I closed my pawn shop and started this pan masala selling shop next to government office. Now with this pan ban, I will have to pawn my pan shop.”
