30, Dec 2016 By bhasadeswar

New Delhi. The ministry of external affairs has announced that passport application form has been modified to simplify the process. The ministry has taken this opportunity to foster nationalism. In a press conference, MEA spokesperson, Vikash Swarup, gave a live demo of the new online application form.

Following are the noteworthy changes:

1) Are you a Modi-Bhakt (read nationalist)? This question has been added which has two answer options: Yes and No.

If you select “Yes”; you will hear PM Modi’s voice saying, “Bhaiyon wa Behenon, bolo Bharat Mata ki Jai!” Mr. Swarup assured the media that his department was working with the IT vendor to use the “Gender” field of the form to further customize the message. Following is the pseudo code shared by him:

If Gender is “Male”, Play: “Bhaiyon, bolo Bharat Mata ki Jai!”

If Gender is “Female”, Play: “Behenon, bolo Bharat Mata ki Jai!”

Else, Play: “Aab main kya bolu…bolo Article 377 ki Jai!”

If you select “No”; you will be redirected to the webpage of Pakistan Visa form.

2) The options to indicate marital status has been changed. The new options are:

a) “Desh ki seva mein apna jeevan khapa diya” (read Single) b) “Desh ki seva ki zimmedari Modijee pe daal di” (read Married) c) “Bharat Maa ne bulaya aur hum chale aaye” (read Divorced) 3) Parents’ name will be auto-populated to: Father’s name – Mahatma Gandhi Mother’s name – Bharat Mata

These are defaulted values and can be modified.
