Kejriwal to sit on Dharna as survey shows drop in his popularity

21, Feb 2014 By Gaurav Mittal

New Delhi. Usually Yogendra Yadav’s surveys and polls bring cheer to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) but this time his survey has brought a bad news.

Dharna Karenge! Dharna Karenge! Dharna Krenge!
Dharna Karenge! Dharna Karenge! Dharna Karenge!

A survey aimed at establishing Arvind Kejriwal as the most popular political face of India for 2014 elections has revealed that Arvind Kejriwal is not the most popular politician of India.

Surprisingly, it is neither Narendra Modi nor Rahul Gandhi. It is Arnab Goswami who has emerged as the most popular political person of India.

AAP had no intentions of revealing this survey but apparently some Arnab Goswami fan in the AAP leaked it.

On the findings of the survey, Yogendra Yadav said in his usual sweet-candy-storyteller voice, “We are not bothered at all with this survey result. I will soon conduct a more comprehensive survey which will erase this survey from aam aadmi’s conscious”.

On the other hand Arvind Kejriwal – the serial protester – does not want to take any chance and wants to sit on a Dharna in Delhi as soon as possible to regain his popularity. He immediately called a midnight meeting of AAP core committee at  his residence to brainstorm on the issues which can be leveraged to sit on Dharna.

Members of AAP core committee suggested many issues which could be used to sit on Dharna. The top three issues were, the recent Kejriwal-type of behavior of MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha over Telengana Bill;  Facebook buying Whats App for $19 billion without disclosing the source of money and Indian cricket team losing to New Zealand in spite of Ishant Sharma taking six wickets twice.

It is not yet confirmed which issue will be selected. It is speculated that AAP might do a referendum to select  one issue out of these three issues for Dharna.

We could not get a response from Kejriwal on drop of his popularity but got the response of Arnab Goswami who has emerged as the most popular. He chuckled while reacting over phone, “I think the credit goes to Rahul Gandhi only, he made me famous in his interview to me.”
