Kejriwal calls a spade a spade, BJP files defamation suit

27, May 2014 By Pen10

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today filed a defamation suit in the Patiala House Court against Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Mr. Arvind Kejriwal after Mr. Kejriwal called a spade a spade last week. The BJP mentioned that the “false, baseless, scandalous, defamatory statements” made by Mr. Kejriwal has lowered the spade’s dignity.

In a street corner meeting last week in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk Mr. Kejriwal had reportedly called a spade a spade. He had released a list of 21 spades who were the most spade of all. This did not go down well with the BJP. Dr. Pinky Anand of the BJP said, “It is unbecoming of an ex Chief Minister to use such language. Such language has defamed all the spades in the country and is a fit case for a defamation suit.” Sources also reported that this is a clever move by the BJP so that no one dares to call a spade a spade in the future. Sources in the BJP also said that Mr. Kejriwal calling a spade a spade is a drama designed to gain public attention and that it has lowered the political discourse in the country.

It must be mentioned that Mr. Kejriwal has been called a guttersnipe, a seasonal insect, AK47  and a Pakistani agent in the past but he has not reacted in a way that the spades have in this case.
