The I&B ministry advisory does not affect condom sales in India

18, Dec 2017 By Largely Unknown

On Monday the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, headed by Smt. Smriti Irani, sent out an advisory to Television channels asking them not to air condom adverts between 6 AM and 10 PM. The Ministry reasoned that these adverts were “indecent especially for children”. This caused a major backlash from the legions of Sunny Leone fans and the left-leaning intellectuals. However, the children have refused to comment on this matter.DQ7YY3dUQAAMS99

After watching the tremendous support that condoms were suddenly getting from Indians, Indian Condom Undertaking of Manufactures (ICUM) appointed a committee headed by Mr. Gyandev Ahuja, a BJP MLA from Ramgarh in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, to find out if the advisory by the ministry would impact the sales of condoms in India. Mr. Ahuja is considered a subject matter expert on Sexual divergencies in India. Mr.Ahuja presented the report today & concluded, “No Impact on condom sales!”. He continued, “Like last year, I went through the trash bins at the JNU campus and collected a total of 3,156 condoms.”

ICUM in its official statement has thanked Mr. Ahuja’s trashy trysts & stated that his findings corroborate the daily condom sales figures in the country. ICUM also thanked the rest of Indian nationals for their support and hoped that more Indians would show their support by actually buying and using condoms.
