New Delhi: The deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia, who is also the second-in-command of the famous film critic Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, will finally witness his dream of touring exotic lands turn into a reality as he has been offered the lead role in the sequel of the famous Zoya Akhtar flick Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
The sources close to the film-maker have confirmed the news and also further corroborated by the Zoya Akhtar herself. The Director claims that the concept of movie, tentatively titled Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara – Kyunki Delhi Mein Hai Chikungunya Phail gaya saara, is inspired by the recent escapades of the Deputy Chief Minister who is preparing for his role devotedly by touring Finland and profoundly feeling the crux of character by becoming a tourist himself.
Zoya Akhtar also adds that the plot will deal with the realistic concept of a city like Delhi writhing with an epidemic similar to Chikungunya while the Deputy Chief Minister played by Mr. Manish Sisodia realizes that there is more to life than dealing with disease that spoils the reputation of chicken and decides to live life to the fullest by flying a Business class trip to exotic countries right after he tells his secretary “Chicken gaya tail (oil) lene” a very deep and powerful dialogue that will be featured in the movie.
When contacted, Chief Minister’s office confirmed these reports and said, “Yes, the script is mind-blowing as this has already inspired other ministers in Delhi to take vacation with immediate effect”.
The filmmaker was apprehensive of sharing more details, but when further persuaded she gave in and exclusively revealed to our reporter that renowned film critic and Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal will also have a cameo and play a pivotal role (more or less) in developing the plot further.
She added “He will be playing the role of a politician who is bitten by the travel bug at the time when the city faces crises due to an epidemic but eventually decides to return only to stage a protest against mosquitoes.”
The sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is not the only film to feature a non-actor in the lead role.
Sources close to Zoya Akhtar have stated that she was confident about her decision to sign in Manish Sisodia after rumors started doing rounds that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has offered Shobha De the lead role in Khamoshi 2.
Although Shobha De who is quite vocal about current events and trends, she has been keeping this news under wraps. On further investigating, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has confirmed to our sources stating “Yes. I have offered her lead role in Khamoshi 2. Her tweets in reference to recently held Olympics have created quite an outrage in the internet and having her seen as a mute and deaf lady will provide respite to all Indians in the wake of distasteful tweets she has put out.
He further added “ It was a challenge for me to present Nana Patekar in a similar role in prequel. Nevertheless, the entire country wanting Shobha De to shut up momentarily does motivate me to take up this challenge again and I am hopeful this way audience will forgive me for the sleeping gas called Saawariya”
Although the production of the not-so-awaited sequel is set of go on floors within couple of months, there has been no confirmation yet from the Delhi Chief Minister if he will be reviewing Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara-2 as he is reported to be preparing for his cameo in a budget location rumored to be Bangalore.
