Corruption is an Indian value which is firmly rooted into Indian culture, declared RSS ideologue MG Vaidya. Addressing a gathering of RSS Pracharaks here, he said that the present understanding of corruption is quite inadequate and influenced by western ideologies.
“Most of us tend to think corruption is something detestable, but the fact it is part of our culture and we must be mindful about this fact and show healthy respect for it,” he preached.
This is why, according him, RSS and BJP are backing the Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, who went her way out to support Lalit Modi. “Sushma may have crossed the official protocols to help Mr. Modi, but one cannot go overboard about it,” he stressed answering a question from scribes.
Vaidya recalled Bangaru Laxman’s Rs. 1 lakh bribe episode and explained it was the time when RSS had realised that corruption is a latent quality of Indian psyche. “A born Swayam Sevak Laxman had fallen for Rs. 1 lakh means the lure must of the part of Indian lineage,” he reasoned.
Vaidya made it clear that RSS is backing not only Sushma, it will extend same protection to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant too.
RSS will never compromise on Indian values and as a patriotic organisation we will go to any length to protect Indian values. Those who making noise about corruption are directionless crowd, he stated.
