Heavy outrage after BJP MP makes Dubsmash video of Deewaar's 'kya hai tumhare pass' dialogue; critics smack him for vanity

Raebareli: BJP MP from Raebareli, Sadhu Ramnath, has once again delivered a controversial speech. This time, it was not in a VHP rally or in an election campaign, it was from his smartphone.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is never short of controversies, or media never makes them feel so. Sakshi Maharaj, Sadhvi Niranjan and many other Hindu leaders who became BJP MPs with the help of India Today had stayed in the news for a long time by using their freedom of expression. And now, one more BJP MP from Raebareli has stirred controversy.

In a video that was being played in loops in almost all the news channels from today morning, the MP in  soup, Sadhu Ramnath, was seen delivering a narcissistic and megalomaniac dialogue. His voice sounded like Amitabh Bachchan of yesteryears though. Sadhu Ramnath in BigB’s voice was saying ‘Aaj mere paas buildingey hai, property hai, bank balance hai, bungla hai, gaadi hai … kya hai, kya hai tumhare pass?’

News channels were speculating over whom the audience the BJP MP is targeting. One of the panelist in a news debate, Sujay Jha, who is also a neutral political analyst from Congress, said, “Maybe, the BJP MP is making fun of the farmers of this country. Sadhu Ramnath, like his leader Modi, is making fun of poor people and the rich corporates in suit-boot are laughing at his statements. Only Rahul Gandhi can save the poor and downtrodden in this country.”

One Communist leader said, “This video of BJP MP reeks of vanity. One can become rich but should be humble. But our Modi’s MP is bragging very much like his leader. This video is nothing but display of narcissism and megalomaniac attitude of Hindutva leaders.”

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson tried to misguide everyone by saying, “That was Dubsmash video of Sadhu Ramnath. Did you not see ‘’ watermark in the video? He was trying his hands with Dubsmash and tried to deliver the famous Deewaar dialogue. One more thing, he is not BJP MP, he is just party worker there.”

This lie however did not undo the deserved damage to the ruling party.  Twitter and Facebook erupted with trends like #ShameOnBJPMP, #SadhuRamnathPokesPoor and #VanityBJPMocksPoor. @OfficeOfRG tweeted “Rahul Gandhiji stays committed to the cause of people who do not have property, bank bal, bungla, gaadi. #RahulWithPoor”.

NSUI and CPI Youth Wing staged protests outside BJP HQ in New Delhi and also outside the residence of Ramnath.
