Telangana imbroglio resolved, thank you Sachin

11, Nov 2013 By iamgreat

New Delhi: Taking advantage of the hype and mass hysteria which has engulfed the nation on the occasion of Sachin Tendulkar’s imminent retirement which has pushed every other burning issue to the background, a high level UPA steering committee met discreetly recently to resolve the issue related to the  formation of Telangana .

Taken aback by the earlier adverse reactions to the decision on the formation of Telangana from the citizen, the Congress led UPA government has utilized the smokescreen created by the #ThankYouSachin mania to quietly announce the unprecedented decision to carve Andhra Pradesh into three states. Thanks to the ever alert reporters of  Faking News the same has failed to escape our attention.

Our sources inform us that the meetings discussed various permutation and combinations before arriving at the following decisions:

Telengana is fait accompli and the same will remain. This because the TRS led by K Chandrashekhar Rao has in principle decided to ally with the Congress for the 2014 General Elections.

Andhra will be offered to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress for a similar alliance with the Congress.

Rayalseema will be the third state to be carved out of Andhra Pradesh. While conceding that there is no such demand from the people of the area, a source within the Congress leadership said on condition of anonymity that this is primarily done to wean away Chandra Babu Naidu and his TDP from BJP and ally with the Congress instead. The source also informs us that Mr.Naidu has been offered the post of Chief Minister of the new state.

The contentious issue of Hyderabad was also resolved by making it a part of Tamil Nadu. Our source informs us that given the sorry state of the party in Tamil Nadu, Congress hopes to strike an alliance with the ruling AIADMK or a grand alliance comprising of DMK, MDMK, DMDK, PMK, TMMK and any other MK which may be formed during the run up to the 2014 elections.

Our reporters in Chennai inform us that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and Head of AIADMK Selvi J.Jayalalitha has during a confidential telephonic conversation with the UPA Chairperson has put forth her demand that Tirupati should also be declared a part of Tamil Nadu along with Hyderabad before committing on any alliance with the Congress. The demand is being considered inform our sources.

“We have solved several issues during the meeting. The South citadel of Congress just got stronger” said the visibly relieved source from the Congress party. “We still have Nitish Kumarji to tie up with. Should a similar situation arise, we may offer him Krishna and Godavari rivers” he continued.

“What matters is that we should form a strong front comprising of Secular parties to defeat the communal BJP” he said. On being questioned on the possibility of the people rejecting the decision to trifurcate the state and indulging in agitations again, the Congress spokesman said that “By the time the #SachinSachin crescendo subsides and people come back to their senses the General Elections of 2014 would be long over!”
