After observing the constant increasing demand for celebrity magazines and sales of supplements of the newspaper, the exam conducting board for CAT has announced that it will include the questions on General Awareness on several topics such as celebrity lifestyle, relationship issues of bollywood and hollywood celebrities in CAT-2014 exam.

In a recent survey conducted in cities of India, it has been found that 80% of the youth reading the newspaper are more interested in the supplementary newspaper articles than the main ones and end up reading only those without reading the main copy of newspaper. Commenting about this survey the dean of IIM Indore, who are conducting the CAT 2014 said that this has shown us the recent interest of the students in our country and as the topic constitutes a lot of matter and twist on a wide range we have finally decided to include it in this year’s General Awareness section of CAT. Also, this has made some leading newspapers editors to think about including the main articles also in the supplementary copy and use the main copy for advertisements only.

The decision was widely appreciated by the students preparing for CAT 2014. When asked about this Shalakha a girl from Mumbai preparing for CAT responded “I am very happy about this decision as this will increase my chances of cracking the exam and will keep me involved in the studies for it”.
