Ration delivery at doorstep failed

22, Mar 2018 By shakeel ahmad

There seems to be an end to the governmental tussle between the Delhi Chief Minister and its Lieutenant Governor. What Kejriwal proposed was not disposed of by the LG. Ultimately the people of Delhi lost the day in expectation of the night, and night in the fear of the dawn. The more Arvind Kejriwal decides to take action in ways befitting a rational and social being, the more provoked Delhi Lt. Governor Anil Baijal turned out to be.

In recent days the Delhi cabinet had endorsed a proposal to initiate delivery of ration at the doorstep. When it was sent to the governor for final approval, he refused to give his assent. He rejected the proposal to be very precise. He in this way stirred the chief minister just a little thereby throwing him into utter dismay.

The March 6 proposal was considered for the good of those common people who depended on availing ration from the government shops for their daily needs. It was definitely not negative idea and adaptive excess. There must have been some executive hindrance otherwise the pro-poor proposal would not have been refused.

What was sympathetically intended by the Delhi AAP government was nothing but the delivery of ration on the doorstep. The packed ration was to be despatched to the beneficiaries’ houses through the private company.

In his tweet, Kejriwal said that he felt really very discouraged on the rejection of such important proposals becoming a victim of petty politics.

He also expressed that he wanted to give an audience to the LG before taking a decision but had not got an opportunity.

While Manish Sisodia, Delhi deputy chief minister alleged that senior officers were attempting to obstruct the doorstep delivery of ration. He visualised that this proposal has potential to end the ration mafia.
