Alarmed by growing cases of commuters getting injured and killed in Mumbai locals due to overcrowding and inefficiency of railways to provide better facilities to prevent and as well as providing prompt medical facilities to accidents victims the health ministry has instructed railways to publish statutory warning on railway tickets and season passes.

From 1st April all railway tickets will bear this warning saying ‘Using mumbai locals may be physically injurious and fatal to your body.’

The health ministry sources also said that railway commuters will also be warned by prominently display of this warning at every rail ticket counters and under the railway station’s name.
