Neeraj Kumar asked to resign since he doesn’t have three daughters

New Delhi. Speaking to Faking News, Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar today claimed that he was being pressurised to resign not because of the inept handling of the protests at India Gate but because there was a strong feeling in the Congress party that by virtue of not being the father of three daughters, he was not the right man for the job.

“You see”, Neeraj Kumar said, “the Prime Minister feels as strongly about the incident as each one of the protesters since he is the father of three daughters, and the Home Minister is interested in getting a deterrent punishment for the guilty for the same reason. Ditto about the Minister of State, Home Affairs”.

Faking News is given to understand that the government is running from pillar to post to find out a trial judge who is the father of three daughters. If there is no one in Delhi fitting the bill, the trial may be shifted to an appropriate court to comply with this condition.

Erstwhile Law Minister Salman Khurshid however told Faking News that the trial being shifted to some other place from the place of incident must not influence the minds of a judge who is the father of three daughters since he should objectively, fairly and without fear able to decide what he has to do.

Leading women’s rights activists are in the meanwhile moving a stay order in Delhi High Court against this move since it is likely to further deepen the gender bias that already exists in the judiciary.
