Maggie noodles have found their new brand ambassador in Rohit Sharma. After seeing Rohit Sharma’s performance in the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka, Maggie has decided that Rohit Sharma will be the apt endorser for their 2 minute noodles. “When we heard from the other members of the team that Rohit Sharma used to put Maggie noodle on the stove just before going to bat, so that it can be ready by the time he comes back after getting out, we decided that his image will go well with our product”, said the chairman of Maggie noodles.
When we contacted Rohit, he said that he has been practicing very hard for the upcoming Maggie noodles’ advertisements and he don’t want to leave any stone unturned.
This is not the first time he has been approached for an advertisement. We have learnt that after Rohit Sharma’s brilliant start to his international carrier, he was approached by Maruti to endorse their fuel efficient cars; however, it did not materialize as Maruti soon realized that Rohit’s batting average was falling below the average of their cars.
Rohit also told us that BCCI also has been very supportive of him. At a time when Poonam Pandey’s ‘aesthetically’ nude pictures were also not been able to help Rohit, BCCI has offered him one more chance – they have now given him the role of pitch reporter for India’s upcoming series with New Zealand. “This will allow him to spend some more time on the pitch, which he is otherwise not able to do”, said one of the selectors.
