IAS aspirant community files PIL in Supreme Court

08, Jul 2014 By mail2014

IAS aspirants over the country have joined hands and filed PIL against all the ministers of the previous UPA government for mental harassment by appointing too many committees for trivial things which has added to their burden of General Studies Paper I, II & III.

Aspirants have alleged that each time they memorize the recommendations of a committee, the government appoints another committee to undo the previous committee’s recommendations.

Akash, a UPSC aspirant from Mukherjee Nagar, New Delhi has had a bad time memorizing the recommendations of Gadgil Committee report on Western Ghats and before he could finish he heard that the Government had appointed another Kasturirangan Committee. “It is murder of justice to the UPSC aspirants. I think there is some foreign hand behind these frequent appointments of committees”, says Akash.

The aspirants are really having a very bad time because a number of questions from various committees appeared in the Prelims and Mains exam in the previous year. And no aspirant is in a mood to leave the committees and risk marks and at the same time they are not willing to memorize committee after committee.

Meanwhile Supreme Court has issued stay on the NDA Government to appoint any committees further. It also directed the UPSC not to ask any questions in the exam pertaining to any of the committees f0rmed after 31st March, 2013. When asked about the issue UPSC Chairman, declined to comment citing the matter is subjudice.
