Pune: In a shocking public announcement made via his Facebook status message, Subodh Kumar, a second year engineering student at Vidya Ka Mahasagar College of Engineering has vowed to stay away from porn and booze during the remaining part of his course.

The update has gone viral with over a million engineering students submitting a petition to Facebook demanding the creation of an ‘unlike’ button which they could click on in response to this status message.

Currently Subodh is being boycotted by the entire campus with no one willing to be seen in public with him. As a result, in an unusual scene during Fluid Mechanics lecture yesterday, he was the only student sitting on the last bench as his classmates preferred the stench of their professor Mr. Wadhkar to a conjecture of any association with Subodh.

But not everybody is giving up on him yet.

“I think this is a prank played by someone who was probably jealous of Subodh’s porn collection or capacity to drink alcohol. That psycho hacked into his Facebook account and wrote such a ghastly status message. I am sure any engineering student would prefer suicide over a life devoid of porn and booze.” said a former friend of Subodh on condition of anonymity.

Faking News caught with Tanuj Khosla, its in-house expert on such issues. “I almost fell off my carpet when I came to know about this development.” said Tanuj while eating his chocolate bar with green chilli pickle, “For once I can imagine Arnab Goswami without his voice but can’t visualize an engineering student’s life without these things. In fact I believe that many political parties are seriously considering putting them in their election manifestos in order to tap into the youth votebank. In my opinion the person whose mind generated such a sick thought is a bigger threat to the civil society than Al-Qaida and needs immediate psychiatric treatment.”
