The chief guest was present in time but the officials were not ready to receive him. His irritation was bound to come about yet he appeared to have controlled himself for a moment. His mood started changing at such unprofessional conduct. He was in no doubt upset. The first district official arrived before him was Satish Pal, ADM (city). Dr Joshi approached to inaugurate the solar panel arranged at the Kanpur Collectorate campus.
No officer was present at the time he reached the venue at 11.20 a.m. He looked around the place, but he was the only person there. It may have an unfamiliar situation or the cold consideration on the part of the administrative authorities. It could have been anything. Was that relief on his face or unease or displeasure? Dr MM Joshi, BJP MP, got enraged at this lapse at the time of inauguration at Kanpur Collectorate compound.
Five minutes later, the ADM (city) reached there and introduced himself to the senior BJP leader. When Surendra Singh, district magistrate arrived and apprised the leader of the reason behind his late arrival, he advanced to garland Gandhi’s statue. He made up his mind to get at the inauguration spot in next to no time.
When he proceeded to cut the ribbon, even the necessary tool of scissors was not handed over to cut the red ribbon. He had to open the ribbon by his hands without hesitation. This was surely the height of negligence. Realising the efficacy of the situation the DM sought a clarification from ADM city.
Under the Atal Jyoti Yojna, as many as one thousand solar panels were to be installed in Kanpur. There was no plan other than satisfying the party’s aspirations, and there was no logic on how the situation disordered. Everyone present on the occasion somewhere realised imperfection.
