Recently a PIL was filed in Mumbai High Court against PM Mr. Narendra Modi and BJP asking “Acche din kidhar hain?” (Where are the good days?). All India Anti Corruption and Citizens Welfare Core Committee and its founder, advocate M V Holmagi, alleged “criminal breach of trust” by the new government over the increase in the prices of railway tickets and other commodities.
The petition has urged the HC to call for records from the government and sought its resignation for not fulfilling its promise. “The present government got a huge mandate from the people of this country on the basis of their promise that ‘good days are coming’,” said Holmagi. “But within a month of the government taking charge, prices of railway tickets and other commodities have increased. The people trusted it based on its opposition to the price rise seen during the previous UPA government’s regime. Since it has broken its promise, the common man should now be given the opportunity to reconsider their vote,” said the advocate. The PIL has named the PM, the cabinet and the BJP as respondents.
Taking a cue from the incident, Mr Vyakul Atijaldi of Bihar, now settled in Chennai has filed a PIL against his pregnant wife asking “Baccha kidhar hai?” (Where is the baby?). My Vyakul, a clerk by profession at the local cab service “Fasttrack”, has alleged “matrimonial breach of trust” by his wife over the increase in the spending on her medicines and nursing.
His petition has urged the HC to call for records from the nursing home and sought divorce from his wife for not fulfilling her promise. “My wife got a lot of attention, care, love, protection, concession from daily chores and what not on the basis of her promise that ‘a baby is coming’”, said Mr. Vyakul. “But within three months of pregnancy, cost of her medicines and nursing have been added to monthly spends and still there is no sign of the baby. Forget about feeling the kick, her belly is hardly showing a sign of bloating. Family members trusted her based on her eagerness to become a mother during the baby shower ceremony of Mrs. Janani, our neighbor. I even purchased Tees with baby expecting quotes. Since she has broken her promise, the husband should now be given the opportunity to reconsider their marriage”, said Mr. Vyakul.
The PIL has named the Wife Mrs. Garbhavati, Mr Vyakul’s in laws and also the gynecologist who confirmed the pregnancy.
