Serial killer the Idiot Box

28, Oct 2015 By shaileshs33

The idiot box that’s what we usually call it, Television has become the most promising media of entertainment for Indians. It is difficult to imagine our life without those funny commercials, pathetic serials and anchors on news channel. From Hum Log to Sarswatichandra, and Aankho Dekhi to Aap Ki Adalat till those weird foreign commercials television has changed a lot. SRK the biggest gift present by small screen to 72 mm says it all that how new faces are emerging with growing confidence.

It started from Quki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and still they haven’t ended continuing with Balika Vadhu. Any new show if its family drama, love story or even thriller gets paralyzed into Saans Bahu type. Liters of tears and glycerin with those heavy make-up gets wasted for 1000 episodes, and how this Saans- Bahu manage to handle  so much of jewelry all the day? Contact Ekta Kapoor then.

If we talk about reality shows, so biggest misconception we have about them is that they are real and not fake. Thanks to Big Boss, Spiltsvilla, Roadies and yes Emotional Ataychar; they have help me to figure out the truth and the non-sense shit they have delivered so far. Shows like Jeena Isi  Ka Naam Hai, V Gumrah, MTV Webbed, and Ye Aashiqi are thumbs up ideas, they should be admired without any hesitation.

Sannate Ko Cheerti Hui Sansani, I think name is enough to portrait the scene. There are so many number 1 news channels that I found all them useless, actually DD news is real blunder. And finally those weirdo late night commercials promoted by film stars, so they got something to work and earn from it and you get enjoyed.

And the topic will be useless if we don’t mention shows like Comedy Circus, Comedy Nights With Kapil Sharma and Great Indian Laughter Challenge. That claims the idiot box as an unsung member of our family. Happy faces all around on the dinner table, television has made it large. So next time when you switch it on; say Thank You to it, because some way down the line it is behind your happiness.
