A recent opinion poll conducted by Faking News has revealed that a two thirds of the people are confident that Congress will come back to power in the 2014 Loksabha elections. This comes as a shot in the arm for the Congress which has been at the receiving end due to a spate of opinion polls in the last few weeks that led to conclusions by BJP and AAP that they and not the Congress is going to win the elections.
While the opposition parties took pot shots at the Congress, the latter maintained that the polls were shams and had commissioned Faking News to conduct an authentic survey to find out the popularity of Congress and the mood of the people.
Faking News conducted the survey simultaneously in the national capital New Delhi and in Muzaffarnagar. People were asked if Congress would come back to power in 2014. The result is as below.
Sonia Gandhi, New Delhi – said YES
Rahul Gandhi, Camp Muzaffarnagar – said YES
Manmohan Singh, New Delhi – did not speak
Thus, compared to around 40% of favourable votes that other parties got in earlier polls, Congress registered a thumping win in this latest poll with an overwhelming 67% voting in their favour. A Party spokesperson said that this was a fair and just poll as it revealed the real intent of the people. He further expressed that they would have reached 100% if the third surveyee was anyone else.
