26, May 2014 By planetdeepak

Ramgopal Verma looked all excited as he talked about his new film ‘Modi Ki Leher’ at a press conference in Mumbai.

He informed that his production house ‘RGV Film Factory’ has already registered the title and hunt for the lead actor is in progress. He added his experience of making ‘RGV ki AAG’ will help him tremendously in the making of ‘Modi Ki Leher’.

Narendra Modi

Verma however remained tight lipped about any further details including his star cast. However , a source from the Verma production house, on condition of anonymity revealed, that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, who also happens to be the brand ambassador of Gujrat Toursim, is being pestered by Verma to enact Narendra Modi .

When asked to confirm, Ramu passed off the question as ‘too early to comment’. The actors office too was unavailable for comment. We are keeping a close eye on his Twitter account for updates. The senior Bachchan has earlier portrayed a character loosely based on a political personality in Verma’s film ‘Sarkaar’.  Mr Bachachn was much appreciated for his work in this film. However the relations between the duo soared after ‘RGV ki AAG’, the reason for which is still not public. If  Mr. Bachchan accepts the offer, the duo will work together after a long gap of seven years.

Interestingly, Ramgopal Verma found an unusual supporter in Shri Digvijay Singh, who has pledged his support to the producer-director.  Talking to media persons at his residence, Mr. Singh commented, “Only a director of the caliber of Shri Ramgopal Verma can do justice to this topic. I’m a big admirer of Verma’s work. I have seen what he has done with subjects like ‘Sholay’ and the ’Mumbai Terror Attacks’ and wish the same results for his new venture. I have already given him all inputs from my side and wish him good luck.”

The BJP office when contacted made it clear that Mr. Verma will have to give a Powerpoint presentation to Modiji, the date of which will be decided only after the swearing in of the new Prime Minister takes place. In a proactive move, it also appointed a four member committee comprising of Hema Malini, Smriti Irani, Vinod Khanna and Shartughan Sinha, to supervise the project, in case Modiji approves it.The picture will get clear once Modi takes oath on 26th May 2014.

Meanwhile it is confirmed that Verma has not been invited to Delhi to attend the swearing in ceremony. His secretary confirmed that Ramu has already installed powerpoint on his laptop and is busy making the slides. Our reporters are trying their best to obtain a copy of this presentation and will keep you informed on this story.
