Mumbai. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited Ram-Leela, scheduled to hit screens on November 15th, is now delayed as multiplex owners all across India are set to telecast the Little Master Sachin Tendulkar’s last test innings.
The decision came late on Wednesday night after general public, unable to make it to Wankhede to witness history, demanded that they are able to see Sachin’s innings in 3D. Masses across Mumbai also demanded that the entire 5-day test match be shown on the big screens.
This might result in delaying the release of Ram-Leela and SLB productions might incur heavy losses in the Indian market. An agitated Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “This is utter nonsense. When we make a legendary movie, we do not demand it to be telecast in cricket stadiums.” Going by his words, the very humble Sachin Tendulkar promised to watch Ram Leela by paying the estimated loss SLB might incur.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the leads actors of RamLeela are furious and asked why are Sachin fans bent over ruining the release of their movie.
As per sources, Raj Mandir, which is screening SRK’s biggest hit DDLJ till date also announced to telecast Sachin’s innings. To this, SRK replied, “ek to me Wankhede nahi ja sakta Sachin bhai ki innings dekhne, upar se jo log meri movie dekhne aaj bhi aate hain, unki jagah bhi lelo…me jaaun to jaaun kahan”.
