Mumbai. Chatpatelal Mishra, 44, who was recently transferred to Mumbai from Mughalsarai has registered a case against “Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma”. The case was registered in the Goregaon police station today morning. Producer, director and the whole crew members were named in the FIR. Mr. Mishra alleged that he was mislead by the team. He could not find any Gokuldham society in Mumbai when he reached here.
Mr. Mishra who works as a Civil engineer was transferred to Mumbai last week. In the FIR he has said that he had been watching the TV series for last 6 years. He used to watch all the repeat telecasts also as many times it was aired on TV. He got convinced about the existence of the Gokuldham society. While shifting to Mumbai he had decided that he will get a flat in the same society and live there.
Mr. Mishra was quoted as saying, “I had decided to buy a flat in Gokuldham society and settle there. This is an ideal society for any middle class family like us.”
He also said that he had decided to send his children to Atmaram Bhide’s tuition classes. He had planned of buying all the electronics’ goods from Jethalal’s “Gada electronics”. He added that the society has all the facilities as Doctor (Dr. Hathi), scientist (Mr. Iyer), mechanic (Sodhi), groceries (Abdul bhai), etc. This was a perfect housing society for Mishra’s family of four people which includes his wife Rabri Mishra, 13 year old daughter Minti and 8 year old son Champak Mishra.
He said to the police that he was shocked to find out that there does not exist any Gokuldham society or Powder gali in the Goregaon area of Mumbai as shown in the series. He said that this has ruined all his future plans and he and his family are in doldrums now. He has demanded 5 crore rupees as compensation for his losses. He added – “Agar hume muawza nahi mila toh main duniya hila dunga.”
