Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham - 2 In Space: karan Johar's remake of "Gravity"

08, Nov 2013 By ujwala

Following the Bollywood trend of copying Hollywood movies and turning it into masala shit flick, noted director-cum-producer-cum-TV host-cum-one-too-many Karan Johar is planning to remake this year’s Hollywood blockbuster sci-fi movie “Gravity” into a Bollywood film titled “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum – 2 In Space”.

Ready to be ripped off.
Ready to be ripped off.

Almost sounding too eager, he said – “I want to retain original cast of K3G. So, I am making some changes to the script. Instead of Clooney and Sandra Bullock, SRK and Hrithik Roshan will be two astronauts in the space. As in the earlier movie, they are brothers here too and their decision to go into space instead of family business has irked their father, Big B.”

Upon asked if he intends to make any other changes, he cheekily said, “Well, the role of an Indian astronaut will be performed by a Pakistani.” He further added that he is a big supporter of “Aman Ki Asha” and this is his way of uniting Indians and Pakistani brothers across the border. He was so thrilled about this brilliant  idea of his, his eyes tinkled like North Pole star.

Adding more about “Indianizing” the script, he was heard saying – “As George sacrifices himself for Sandra Bullock, big brother SRK floats away in space to save li’l brother Hrithik but, I love SRK way too much to let him die even in a movie, so I’ve decided to show Maha-Yagna performed by his larger-than-life family for safe return of two brothers and owing to that, SRK manages to return to the Mother earth.”

He denied to divulge any more info on the plot as he wanted everybody to go to theater to watch it. However, he told our Bollywood representative to look out for makes-you-wanna-dance item song. Seeing surprised look on our Patrakaar’s face, he winked at him and chirped “Yet another surprise. I know you are wondering what an item song is doing in a sci-fi movie. This movie is going to have it all – science, fiction, drama, item songs, romance and lots of tears.” Our sharp-witted Patrakaar instantly noted that “logic” was missing from the list.

From some other sources, we also got to know that KJO is trying to sign-up Sandra Bullock and George Clooney to do guest appearance in the remake as astronauts bumping into SRK and Hrithik Roshan by chance  in space and sharing coffee and playing rapid-fire round. Our source also added that entire industry is acting as if having a mini-orgasm ever since KJO has released a press statement about the remake.

So, all in all…we are in for a treat next year. Whether it will be a good one or a bad one – only time can tell.
