Mumbai: After the release of the much hyped Dhoom-3’s theatrical trailer, YRF Entertainment’s CEO, Uday Chopra surprised everyone when he claimed that he is a better actor than Aamir Khan.
Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is playing the bad guy in Dhoom-3, Abhishek Bachchan is playing the good cop once again and Uday Chopra is also in the list.
“Of course I am a better actor than Aamir Khan. I am also more choosy when it comes to signing films. He releases a movie every year while I take seven years to release one of my. ” Uday Chopra said while addressing the reporters.
Uday Chopra was last seen in Dhoom-2 which was released in November 2006. In between he did act in a movie named Pyaar Impossible in 2010 with Priyanka Chopra, but no one except the Chopra family saw the movie so he went unseen.
“I should be titled Mr. Perfectionist not Aamir Khan as I am the one who is perfectly avoiding this thing called acting. I am doing human beings a favour by doing that, while Aamir is just testing people’s patience by making them wait for a year just for a movie.” Uday went on to add.
Uday Chopra didn’t hesitate to compare his film career with Aamir Khan’s.
“I did my debut movie with two of the biggest superstars of the film industry SRK and Amitabh Bachchan while on the other hand Aamir was cast in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak with Goga Kapoor. Do you even recognize who Goga Kapoor is?,” Uday Chopra said grinning.
When asked why it took 7 years to release Dhoom-3 Uday said “I know it took a bit longer than we expected, Rohit Shetty released 10 films in the meantime, but that wasn’t my fault and not my company’s. The delay is because Mr. Aamir Khan tried to teach me. Abhishek and Katrina acting for 6 and a half years, it took him so long to realize that there are some things which are impossible. Then we started shooting the movie and finished it in six months.”
When Faking News reporter asked him about his link-up rumors with Nargis Fakhri, Uday refused to deliver any dialogues and gave no expressions, just like Nargis did in Madras Cafe and Rockstar.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan declined to react on Uday Chopra’s sensational statement. But Shahrukh Khan has tweeted that it’s just a publicity stunt forged to break Chennai Express’ records.
On the other hand Raghu Ram is not at all happy with the concept of Dhoom.
“They are doing the same to us what Samsung did to Apple. Dhoom’s concept is quite similar to my show Roadies. Dumb people on expensive bikes is my idea , they can’t steal it from me just like that,” Raghu said.
