Encouraged by the growth in e-commerce sector in the last 4-5 years, the leading players PushKart.com, Nile.in, Mantra.com have started selling India’s proposed national drink, ‘chai’.
One of the companys’ spokespersons said there is immense potential for growth in selling teas online as there is no dearth of tea addicts in the country.
He said the users would be offered to choose between around 250 varieties of domestic and international flavours of tea and the salesperson who is equipped with milk, tea powder and induction cooker, would knock at the door of the customer and prepare the hot tea at delivery point.
He also said if the customer doesn’t like the tea, he would be given full refund. He said the company is also planning to sell samosas, kachouris, dal wada, wada pav, bread pakora and maggi online in the near future. The company exectutives are busy preparing the salesplan for these items.
